Redditch VC Women 3
Evesham United Ladies 0
REDDITCH stretched their unbeaten run to eight games with another fine performance against Evesham.
The home side started strongly with both Nat Lawrence and Kate Saint spraying the passes around the pitch allowing both Claire Compton and Lianne Cooper to supply crosses from the wing.
VC were unlucky not to go ahead when Emily Johnson hit a fine shot towards the bottom of the net only to see this superbly saved on the line.
It was Cooper who had the biggest influence in the first half and it was her build-up play with Jenny Worthington that allowed for her to open the scoring with a fine shot from the edge of the box.
VC then had a number of other chances to add to their lead but Jenna Dedicoat hit one effort too close to the keeper and then chipped another straight into the keeper's hands.
Shortly before the break a fine cross from Cooper was turned in at the near post by Dedicoat to give VC a 2-0 advantage at the break
With the home side pressing for further goals in the second half, the Evesham defence remained strong and made some excellent last-ditch tackles.
VC should have gone further ahead after Lawrence played a superb ball through to Dedicoat who thundered a shot past the far post.
The third goal came shortly afterwards and it was a dazzling individual strike from Lawrence who used her space to outwit the visitors' defence before turning and firing a low curling shot into the far corner.

Leamington Lions 6
Studley 1
STUDLEY travelled to Leamington looking for a win after a confidence boosting performance last week.
But they suffered a disappointing start, going behind to a controversial goal on ten minutes.
Studley raised their game and Coral Loney equalised before Sam Tayler, Sam Wilkinson and Loney went close with long-range efforts.
Leamington added a second on the break and stand-in goalkeeper Gemma Perry soon found herself conceding again when a third Leamington effort sneaked over the line.
The second half saw Studley concede three more as Leamington took advantage of playing with the wind despite Loney's heroics as she continued to fight for her team with some excellent tackles.
Manager's Player of the Match: Coral Loney
