CHADDESLEY Corbett are looking for a new manager after Martin Westcott announced his decision to end his 20-year association with the club.
Westcott will stand down after the final match of their West Midlands League Division Two campaign after admitting he has become "stale" at Longmore.
Chairman David Yardley is advertising for a replacement to lead Chaddesley into next season.
Westcott originally arrived at Longmore as a player in the mid-1980s and has been a club stalwart and committee member ever since.
Other than an 18-month spell managing Areley Kings' Saturday side and a short stint when Richard Downey looked after team affairs, Westcott has been manager for the past 10 years.
Westcott has expressed his wish to keep his Saturday's free for the time being to watch his two young children play football.
He said: "I've gone as far as I can with the club and I think it is the right time for somebody else to come in and take them a further step forward.
"It's been getting to the stage where I've become a bit stale and it was becoming more like a chore.
"When that happens you know it is time to move on."
Chaddesley are comfortably placed in mid-table in Division Two. And Westcott who led them to promotion from the Kidderminster and District League believes they now boast their strongest ever squad of players.
"I've got no hard feelings towards anybody at Chaddesley and I will stay in charge for the rest of this season until they find someone else.
"But it's time for me to sever my links with the club. I won't be on the committee any more and I'm not sure what the future holds for me in football."
Despite the bombshell news, Corbett still salvaged a point from their home game with Bustleholme last weekend with captain Chris Griffin heading a last-gasp equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw.
The game was played on a near-perfect pitch but in windy conditions and goalkeeper Stuart Brooks was the man of the match as Chaddesley narrowly avoided their second home defeat of the season.
Debutant Stephen Morgan had a solid game and showed great promise.
Chaddesley travel to Bilbrook on Saturday, kick-off 2.45pm.
