There was a busy start to the February meeting with notices being read out by the secretary giving news of the spring lunch, a trip to the theatre and the county quiz in which four members are competing.
We were also told about the art and walking holiday and the annual council meeting in March when the speaker will be Ann Widdecombe MP. Also Mary Gray gave us more details of our proposed entries in the spring rally at Bewdley. It was then time for our speaker, Mel Mills, to entertain us with his talk The Lighter Side of Policing. There were funny tales of his training to be a police officer and later, dealing with the public including acting as a midwife! And having the baby named after him.
There were six beautiful entries in the Valentine's card competition, the winner being Sue Pugh. Tea and biscuits were served by Patricia and Marguerite Mills.
