THE first show of the 2006 season was held at All Saint's Hall, Burcot Lane. This was judged by Allan Taylor and saw a very large entry of 122 dogs. The best in show winner was Miss Wilkinson's whippet bitch handled by her father Paul.
Reserve best in show was Mr and Mrs Butress' cairn terrier from Halesowen.
The best puppy went to another terrier, Mr Gittens' border terrier bitch from Romsley.
The reserve best puppy was Miss Hodgkiss' cocker spaniel from Coventry. The local winners were as follows: Miss Beston and Mrs Critchley's cocker spaniel, first puppy Dog; Miss Booth's Yorkshire terrier, second toy open; Mr and Mrs Horton's old English sheepdog, second minor pup bitch.
Our next show will be held on Wednesday, May 31, and will be judged by Mrs P Lester.
Anyone wishing to train their dogs for the show ring is welcome to attend classes which are held on Wednesdays at 8pm at All Saint's Hall, Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove.
