A WARM and comforting album with a hint of her old charm, Beth Orton's fourth release is a delight to listen to.
Comfort of Strangers has a charming and chilled out feel which shows her talents to their fullest - her writing skills and music ability - particularly her guitar, piano and harmonica playing.
One of the strongest songs is definitely the opening track Worms which has some fantastic lyrics. However there are a few that take a bit to get off the ground and it's quite difficult to listen to straight through without wanting to take a bit of a break or skip a few songs.
All in all a good release for those who like their music chilled and quite deep but it does need a few goes to get into it.
