MEMBERS were pleased to welcome six visitors to their monthly meeting, which proved to be lots of fun and laughter.
Margo Davies's subject was The Benefits of Keeping Fit.
She told how women, and the occasional man, have kept fit over the past 50 years.
Nora Reid from Sunderland introduced the first fitness movement, Keep Fit for Adventure in 1929.
After the talk, there was a workout session for members, who finished up doing a progressive barn dance, which really found out those who were fit or otherwise.
Teams were selected for the two skittle matches coming up shortly, and names taken for the trip to see Astwood Bank Operatic Society's production of The Mikado.
Many names were taken of members wishing to go to the annual council meeting when Ann Widecombe is to be guest speaker.
At the next meeting in the village hall at 7.30pm on March 8, Brian Draper will talk about the River Severn.
