FOR the February meeting, members were treated to an insight into the fascinating life of Rosemary Prosser.
In a talk entitled From Farm Records to Criminal Records, Rosemary took members on her journey as a farmer's wife, police sergeant and now race day tour guide at Cheltenham.
She struck a chord with everyone on the theme of how we are influenced by chance remarks which can lead to life-changing decisions. Told with a great deal of humour and compassion, this talk left everyone looking at their own chance remarks and how life comes full circle.
The serious business of the evening was focussed on the ballot to decide whether members would be happy to enlarge the institute to include Crabbs Cross and Hunt End WI. This was passed overwhelmingly so that from March, members will be welcoming many old friends into their ranks.
The skittles team goes from strength to strength and is now marshalling for a final push to get to the final stages of the competition.
With spring in the air, Judy Berrow will be taking members through Private Gardens for Public Enjoyment.
Meetings are held in the Technology Block at the rear of Woodfield Middle School on the second Wednesday of every month from 7.30 pm.
