THE 22nd birthday was celebrated at the February meeting and there were visitors from the newly enlarged Ipsley with Crabbs Cross WI, Sheila Bishop and Janice Jones, from the executive in Worcester, Jackie Gregory, AGWW representative, and WIA Janet Clemas.
The entertainment was by the Vocal Harmony Trio and was much enjoyed by members and visitors. The vote of thanks was given by Margaret J Smith.
After an American tea, Jackie Gregory told about her visits to the Gambia and the hard life women lead there and also how appreciated are the thousands of jumpers knitted by volunteers and sent by the boxful herself.
Jackie Grier gave the answers to the quiz and distributed chocolate bars to the winning table.
The competition was won by Margaret Smith, with Eileen Harris second and May Floyd third.
Maisie Harber won the Flower of the Month. The raffle prizes included the lovely flower arrangement by member Judy Robinson.
The next meeting will be on March 13 when items from the WI Loan Collection will be on show.
Friends and members are welcome at the Ecumenical Centre at 2pm.
