ON February 21, members were entertained by Midlands photographer Dr Anne Sutcliffe.

She delivered a presentation entitled What's New Pussycat, an interesting title as none of her photographs were of cats.

During the presentation, Anne demonstrated her unique photography style, which had been carefully and proffesionally developed over the past 20 years and culminated in her being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society, the highest distinction of the RPS.

A wide range of images were shown, which demonstrated the full range of photographic and printing mediums available ,combined with the use of digital technoloy and software.

Anne was one of a collection of excellent speakers the society has attracted over recent months, with more on the programme for 2006.

The society meets every Tuesday evening (except the second Tuesday of the month) at The Rocklands Social Club, Headless Cross, starting at 8pm.

At the next meeting, members will be presenting their individual photographic assignments set for them over the winter period.

New members are always welcome. For more details on how to get involved, call Richard on 07970 798 555.
