A CHARITY in Worcester that helps children and their families cope with bereavement has been awarded more than £200,000 to expand.

Noah's Ark Trust, which has been supporting youngsters throughout Worcestershire for the past eight years, has been awarded £213,433 over a period of three years from the Big Lottery Fund to enable the provision of a grief support service in Herefordshire.

Sue Smith, fund-raising manager with the Trust, said: "We are overjoyed. We have been eager to expand into Herefordshire for some time and this enables us to do so.

The Trust is celebrating with a black tie dinner and auction of promises at Eastnor Castle on Friday, May 19. Tickets for the event are available on 01905 745735.
