WORCESTERSHIRE trio Vikram Solanki, Gareth Batty and Kabir Ali could not prevent an England 'A' defeat.
West Indies 'A' secured a sensational one-wicket victory as they successfully chased the 365 needed to win on the final day of the first Test in Antigua.
Solanki and Batty scored 86 and 75 not out respectively in England's first innings, while Kabir impressed with 40 in their second knock.
In the bowling stakes, spinner Batty impressed with 5-83 in the hosts' first innings and Kabir claimed 1-42.
Marlon Samuels and Sylvester Joseph both hit crucial hundreds later on, sharing in a partnership of 194 to inspire the victory.
However, England were always in the hunt with Sajid Mahmood taking 4-51, Kabir 2-101 and Batty 1-100 until the West Indies crossed the finishing line with 366-9.
Meanwhile, recent Worcestershire signing Phil Jaques has been called-up to Australia's one-day squad to face South Africa after captain Ricky Ponting pulled out because of injury.
Jaques has been in prolific form in domestic cricket in Australia, and hit 94 on his international one-day debut.
Australian chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns said: "There's no doubt Phil's form has been great this summer and we've every confidence in him if his services are called upon."
