IT was the return match. Having walked around the House of Commons with MP Peter Luff, the people from Arrow Distributors invited him back to their place.

After the Mid-Worcester-shire MP accompanied Arrow Distributors to Westminster in November to collect a Green Apple environmental award, Arrow managing director Mike Barnes invited him to see the business at Norton, near Worcester, for himself.

The MP spent the morning being shown around various departments including the warehouse, sales office, showroom and accounts where the key functions were explained.

Mike Barnes told him: "This location is ideal for our operations base because of its easy access to the motorway network. We have provided a dedicated service of distributing electrical and gas appliances to the housebuilding industry since 1985 and as the business grew we needed more space. The 80,000 sq feet of warehouse space here is the perfect base and gives us room to grow."

Mr Luff was particularly impressed with Arrow's dedication in exceeding environmental compliances.

"In addition to its Green Apple Award, the company is also a British Safety Council Award winner for the third year in a row," he said.

"It's good to see a large, sector leading Worcestershire employer doing well and I'm pleased that my curiosity as to what goes on in the silver building was rewarded by such a thriving business. It's even more pleasing that the company both started and developed in Wor-cestershire. The competitiveness of the housebuilding trade makes Arrow's success a most impressive achievement."

Arrow Distributors provides electrical and gas appliances, sinks, taps, showers and shower trays, bathroom furniture and sanitaryware to the house building industry - the service includes planning, on-site expert installation teams and site liaison managers across the UK.
