SIR - With reference to your headline in Worcester News, Wednesday, February 22, "Fury over houses in field next door".
I lived with my parents, for the first 20 years of my life, in Tolladine Road, Warndon, (from 1960) and every morning, for as far back as I can remember, I would pull back the curtains when I got up in the morning and see nothing but fields, orchards, and the wood, which I'm pleased to say is still there.
My father still lives there but all you can see now from the same window are hundreds of roof tops.
This was once Greenbelt but it didn't stop these residents who are whingeing now, moving into their lovely new homes without a thought for the original residents of Warndon.
They are not worried that these new houses will be built on a greenfield site or the affect it will have on wildlife, just how it will affect the price of their properties and their lovely views.
The same goes for the phone mast that as just been put up!
This would be in the middle of fields if they hadn't developed the area.
Gary English, Worcester.
