ENGLAND kept their Under 21 Grand Slam ambitions on track with a six-try 49-22 victory over Scotland at Falkirk Stadium.

Man-of-the-match Anthony Allen, scrum-half Ben Foden and wing Thom Evans grabbed a brace each as England turned a 17-15 half-time lead into a second-half waltz.

Jim Mallinder's side now head to Perigneux in a fortnight to face the French for a match that will ultimately decide the destination of the championship.

Worcester Warriors second row Richard Blaze started the match. He said: "I didn't think we performed as well as we did against Italy last week but that's probably a credit to the Scots. I was happy with our defence and I had a good work-rate but there's lots to work on for France, especially our defensive line-out and restarts.

"Our next match will be a big step up for us. France are always a tough side, especially at home. Training all week has been good, pretty laid-back and relaxed, but we know there's more to come."

Danny Care and Andrew Saull both scored two tries as England's Under 19 stars impressed with some sharp finishing against their Scottish counterparts at the Twickenham Stoop.

Leeds Tykes scrum-half Care and Saracens flanker Saull both struck in the first-half as their side built up an impressive lead under the astute direction of Wasps playmaker Danny Cipriani.

They didn't manage to run riot in the second-half but Leicester wing Oliver Dodge -- son of former England centre Paul -- claimed a well-taken try and Cipriani stroked over a fourth conversion to add to his first-half penalty.

Scotland fought back with the last move of the match to register their only score when they overloaded England on the left for Edinburgh wing David McCall to slide over.

Worcester's Sam McDonald started the match, while team-mates Matthew Mullan, Matthew Cox and Chris Pennell all came on as replacements.

Worcester's Nicola Crawford scored one of four tries as England Women managed a 22-5 win over Scotland at Murrayfield.

Henley's Danielle Waterman and Michaela Staniford also crossed and there was one penalty try.

Crawford's Worcester team-mate Joanne Yapp captained the side.

Amber Penrith, the Worcester wing, scored a try as England 'A' eased to a 29-5 victory against the Nomads at Henley.

There was a convincing win for England Universities, who thumped Scotland Universities 73-11. Worcester's Robert Cook was a replacement.

The Netherlands won 13-0 against an England Women Students' side that included Worcester trio Gemma Sharples, Tracey Balmer and Alice Lovett.
