THE Junior Church, which meets at Madresfield CE Primary School, has chosen the Christian Aid charity Goat for It as its Lenten charity. The family service at Madresfield Church on Sunday, March 5, at 11am will have Gill Smith speak about the Goat Project, which provides nanny and billy goats for poor people in various parts of the world, to produce milk (and fertiliser). Collecting boxes and quiz available.

On Sunday, March 19, Madresfield Court gardens are open for daffodil Sunday from 2-5pm. Come and view the spring flowers and enjoy home-made refreshments and cream teas. Entry is £5 for adults and over 11s, £4 senior citizens, free for children under 11. Proceeds in aid of the parish churches.

A series of Lent courses in home groups will take place between March 8 and April 5. Sessions start at 7.30pm and are open to all. The first is on Wednesday, March 8 at 7 Bamford Close, Guarlford. The course is being led by the Rev. Edward Williams and is based on the prophet Jeremiah.
