'For Sale' and 'Sold' notices on many houses in West Malvern are reminders of our constantly changing population and many newcomers are interested in the history of village. So it may be timely to mention that a there has been a reprint of the popular West Malvern Book, a reproduction of a village scrapbook which produced by the now defunct WI in the 1950s.
Full of fascinating snippets about places and personalities of years gone by, and attractively produced in hard cover, it is available from Colin Jackson on (01684) 577604. All proceeds go to the Friends of St James's Church.

Good news for pensioners wanting to take advantage of the weekday £4.95 pensioners' lunch at the Brewers' Arms, but are stuck for transport. Landlord Trevor Marston is offering to collect and return home anyone in this position on Wednesdays.
West Malvern's amateur dramatic company WAMDRAM's production of Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters in the Village Hall opens on Thursday, March 2, continuing on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 on the door, but some earlier productions have been sold out, so it could be worth booking your seats with David Matthews on 01684 567328.
More than £300 was raised for the church facilities project at the well-attended coffee morning two weeks ago arranged by the Friends of St James's Church and held at the home of Heather and David Hayward.
