AN inquest was opened into the death of Nicholas Gilbert, of Mulberry Drive, Upton, who died when his car hit a tree.
The 46-year old, a personal adviser at Malvern Job Centre, was killed on Wednesday, February 15, when his MG sports car left the B4208 as he was travelled towards Upton.
Fire crews took two hours to free Mr Gilbert, who was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no sign that any other vehicle was involved in the accident.
Dr Geoffrey Smith said Mr Gilbert died from multiple injuries. The inquest was adjourned until a later date.
