I recently attended a funeral of a family member which brought our family together for the first time in 25 or so years.
We started talking about our family heritage and it seems our roots come from Malvern. I have only one great aunt left who remembers visiting our family in England on several occasions with my great-grandmother, Gertrude Lawerence, who married Louis Hodges.
They came to Canada in the early 1900s. Gertrude died in 1985 at the age of 97, Louis died at an early age and great grandma never remarried but raised her five children on her own, Nancy is the only child left.
We are planning a family reunion in August 2007 and I would like to try and contact our family in England. If you can help us get in contact, please e-mail me at shodges66@yahoo.com or write.
