THE Chase pupil Rosemary Hartmann, 13, has been selected for England at the Interland International Orienteering match in Germany this weekend.

Rosemary, of Eaton Road, Malvern Wells, gained her place as one of only three U14 girls after attending selection races last autumn.

Rosemary is currently British champion in the girls' U14 B class and Harlequins Orienteering Club Junior Girls' Champion.

She travels with a full national squad, aged from 13 to 65, to the match which is being held near Cologne on Sunday.

Her brother Daniel, 16, will also be on the trip as boys' U18 reserve, a selection made all the more surprising as only one U18 is selected and Daniel still has another full year in this age class.

There is a MADO Mini-League event at Hollybed Common, tomorrow (Saturday). Registration from 11.45-12.45pm and starts from 12.45-2pm. Full details on www.mado.org.uk or 01684 577062.
