RADAR'S poor run continued when they lost this bottom-of-the-table clash at Warndon last Sunday.
THE BRIDGE 3, MALVERN RADAR 1
Both teams struggled early on with there being plenty of effort but nothing to rave about. Radar's stand in keeper, Clive Churchill was called into action on 15 minutes when he raced off his line to bravely save at the feet of Giles Harris, who then saw the keeper clear his effort off the line after the ball came down off the bar.
At the other end, Dave Jessop in the home goal had to deal with a couple of long-range efforts but was rarely troubled and it was no real surprise when half-time arrived at 0-0.
The Bridge took the lead on the hour when Harris wasn't closed down on the edge of the area and his shot deflected into the bottom corner. It was soon 2-0 when Dave Darling jinked into the box and scored with a fine flick over the stranded Churchill.
Radar's best chance fell to Andy Bottomley, whose shot was well saved by Jessop, the loose ball just evading Radar's forwards.
Harris then added the third in the closing stages before Radar grabbed a late consolation when Churchill smashed in a penalty with the last kick of the game.
This Sunday, Radar are away to Claines at Little Perdiswell, players meet 9.30am at RSRE Club.
