SIR - Last week, a 19-year-old was sent to prison for "slapping stickers on innocent passers-by" (Worcester News, Friday February 17).
Jo Barker, prosecuting, seemed to think it strange that his friends found it highly amusing when they watched him slap stickers on the backs of several females and District Judge Bruce Morgan sentenced him to two months custody for this "loutish" behaviour.
Have the learned lady and gentleman never heard of the BBC TV's Dick and Dom in Da Bunglow show where, quite often on a Saturday morning, (including Saturday, February 18) this very activity is promoted, encouraged and shown in detail as being a harmless, humorous pursuit.
The audience seem to find it highly amusing even if I don't.
Roger M Peberdy,
Droitwich Spa.
