KIND-heared residents and traders are being urged to dig deep into their pockets and support a charity that helps disabled people across Wyre Forest.

The district's Dial-A-Ride has launched a "sponsor a seat" scheme to help raise money for the running of the service, which helps vulnerable people in Kidderminster, Stourport, Bewdley and beyond.

Companies that sponsor one or more seats will have their services or products advertised on the minibus run by the charitable organisation.

Co-ordinator of Wyre Forest Dial-A-Ride, Rob Hartell, said 15 out of 38 seats had been sponsored so far, generating £750.

He added: "We're looking for more people to get on board and sponsor a seat to help us with the running of this valuable service.

"All sponsorship is extremely helpful and enables us to pay for petrol and the general maintenance of the vehicle."

The cost of sponsoring a seat is £50 for a year. For more details on how to become involved, call Mr Hartell on 01562 755084.
