A KIDDERMINSTER-based firm will help carry out a two-year project to refurbish what is believed to be one of the country's oldest water treatment works.
Purac has teamed up with civil engineers, Morrison, on the £10.5 million contract for the scheme, at Boughton in Chester.
Construction work will take two years because new aspects of the project need to be built alongside existing facilities so the treatment works can continue to supply Dee Valley Water's customers.
The Boughton works, which treats water from the River Dee, dates back to 1853.
