POLICE have appealed for information to help find vandals who targeted a sports car with a concrete slab in Bewdley.

It is believed the offenders removed the 15ins by 15ins slab and scaled an 8ft high fence before throwing the slab at the Lotus Esprit S4S car, causing £5,000 worth of damage.

The incident happened between 4pm on February 8 and February 12 at an open-air lock-up underneath the railway arches in Maypole Close.

A reward of £500 is being offered by the owner for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offenders.

PC Danny Evans, of Bewdley police, said: "The slab was very heavy, which suggests it would have needed at least two people to throw it."

Anyone with information should contact the police on 08457 444888.
