UNCERTAINTY surrounds the future of suspended Kidderminster Harriers physio Jim Conway with a new medical man taking over at Aggborough until the end of the season.

While the board are still following legal advice not to comment on the investigation into Conway, Ben Sciffemann has been temporarily appointed to the treatment room.

Sciffemann, who is making his way in football physiotherapy with Worcester City, will help out both clubs for the immediate future.

He is tending to injured members of the Harriers dressing room on a daily basis, while resuming bucket and sponge duties with Worcester on matchdays and two evenings a week.

Match physio duties are being carried out by Chris Banks, a former Cheltenham team-mate of Kidderminster management team Mark Yates and Neil Howarth.

"It will be Ben's first full-time appointment in football because he's been doing it part-time at Worcester," said Yates.

"Worcester Andy Preece has been great about it and he's happy for Ben to combine the roles.

"It's provisionally until the end of the season and it gives us a chance to look at him and him a chance to look at us."

Yates was running the rule over players released by other clubs during a triallists session in Derby yesterday and will use Harriers' free weekend to scout more players.
