A HOST of performers hoping to impress a Kidderminster entertainment agency will take to the stage for charity.
Upfront Entertainment's opening showcase of the year will be at The Gainsborough House Hotel next Thursday.
It will be the first of eight to be held at the venue and proceeds will go to the County Air Ambulance.
It was chosen to support Anne, Graham and Jayne Burden's campaign to raise money for the emergency service with a sponsored walk from John O'Groats to Lands End in April.
The Kidderminster family has organised the walk in memory of Anne and Graham's son and Jayne's brother, John, who died in a road accident in 2004.
Among the performers at the charity event, will be four-piece show band, "The Mask", who have a varied repertoire, including tracks by Abba, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Elton John and The Beatles.
"Disco Fever Band", a six-piece group from Birmingham, will play popular disco songs from the 1970s, such as Car Wash and Ain't No Stopping Us Now.
There will also be a UB40 tribute act called We 3 40, which covers popular songs including, Red Red Wine, Rat In My Kitchen and Kingston Town.
A three-piece Marc Bolan and T Rex tribute act - "Get It On" - will also perform tracks such as Children of the Revolution, I Love To Boogie and 20th Century Boy.
Solo artists, Rosanna O'Neil from Leeds and Pete McCray from Birmingham will also be performing.
