Coventry Sphinx 3 Feckenham 4
FECKENHAM staged a heroic fightback in a seven-goal thriller on Tuesday evening to book themselves a two-legged Challenge Cup semi-final against Pershore Town.
The Millers, who have twice suffered costly defeats to Sphinx in recent weeks, found themselves 3-1 down midway through the first half.
But hat-trick hero Lee Ross dragged them on to level terms before strike partner Ryan Field bagged a dramatic winner.
Ross, with 11 goals in four games for the visitors, set the ball rolling with a chipped far post finish after just two minutes.
But then it all went wrong for Lee Adams' side with Chris Harris levelling two minutes later and Casey Caggani putting the hosts ahead in the seventh minute.
Worse was to follow when striker Craig Civzelis netted a third midway through the half to give Feckenham a mountain to climb.
But the visitors battled back in style and talisman Ross reduced the deficit from a Stuart Douglas corner five minutes before the break.
Two minutes into the second period, Ross levelled from the spot before substitute Steve Fergusson turned the game with an excellent pass to pick out Field who grabbed the winner on 75 minutes.
n Alvechurch's match with Chasetown was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
n Church are at home to Westfields on Saturday (ko 3pm) while Feckenham head to Brocton (ko 2.45pm).
