Women: Bilton Ajax 1 Studley 2
Studley had a break from league action and made the trip to Bilton to play a friendly looking for a confidence-boosting win.
And it was the visitors who opened the scoring on 19 minutes when, from their first corner, Sam Tayler placed the ball over the keeper and a Bilton player converted into her own net.
Studley kept the pressure on and were unlucky not to increase their lead further with shots from Rachel Hopkins, Coral Loney and Sam Wilkinson just going wide.
Studley started the second half with a change of keeper who was soon called into action and was unlucky not to get on the end of a through ball that was slotted coolly into the corner.
The visitors twice hit the woodwork before regaining the lead when Wilkinson pulled the ball back for Tayler who hammered it into the back of the net.
The closing minutes saw Bilton go close but Studley keeper Rosy Hughes showed quick reflexes to tip the ball over the crossbar.
n Studley Reserves crashed to a 9-2 defeat at home to Rugby Town.
Goals from Martha Osbourne and Louise Richardson were not enough against their powerful visitors.
