THE Upton Muggery pub has given the Friends of Upton Primary School £800.
Landlady Muriel Ovenden presented the school with a cheque for the money, donated by customers throughout 2005.
The cash will go towards the www.classroom project, which will see interactive whiteboards put into every classroom in the school.
Mrs Ovenden said: "The pub has always collected for local charities and what could be more local and deserving than the school. This year's collection will be going to the Stroke Recovery Unit in Evesham."
Friends committee chairman Mike Morgan said: "It's a fantastic sum and it's excellent that the school can maintain its strong links with the community. We needed to raise £12,500 and this latest donation puts us within a few hundred pounds of that target - perhaps other pubs in Upton could do something similar?"
He thanked Jane Bayliss of Lloyds Bank for counting out £200 of donations in small change.
