There was a good attendance at the February meeting - nearly 50 members - when Rae Fowler stood in as deputy president. Rae then told the members that she had received an email from the president, bringing us up-to-date on her travels. The members in return, signed a birthday card to congratulate the president on her forthcoming 80th birthday. There were also four other birthday girls including Doris Dodd who will be 90.

The members were then asked to vote by a show of hands for the Christmas lunch venue, resulting in the Coach and Horses being the winner.

It was announced that Dorothy Radford would be going to Denman in March, to take advantage of the £200 bursary from last year. After that, there was a draw for this year's Denman bursary of £200, which was won by Maureen Pearmain.

There will be a skittles match on March 6.

Belated congratulations to Ruth Mason, the overall winner of last year's competitions (by only one point). Beattie Denning was second and Maureen Pearmain third. Last month's competition, 'A favourite piece of of Worcestershire china,' was won by Pat Fellows with Joanne Whitehurst second and Beattie Denning third. Finally, this month's competition, 'A piggybank of distinction,' was won by Norma Bojarowski with Beattie Denning second and Audrey Court third.

Our next meeting will be on March 8 at 2.15 pm.
