PUPILS at Belbroughton First School will be taking their studies into the great outdoors thanks to the opening of a new outdoor shelter.
The new unit will be used as an outdoor classroom and playtime facility.
The shelter was built using cash from a Government grant of more than £3,000. The money went to Belbroughton First after its participation in a walk to school week.
Deputy head Heather Lofthouse said: "We took part in walk to school week and we were given a grant and the idea of building the shelter.
"It can be used for parents to wait in, and for children to play in at break time and also take part in educational activities outdoors."
