SIR - I write to express total agreement with Mike Matthews of Bristol, (Worcester News, January 30). There are fierce critics of the technical college. Others complain stridently about The Giffard. Others condemn the former Kay's building at Shrub Hill. The fact is that these are all architectural gems compared to that grossly ugly car park in Friar Street, which is so near to the Cathedral. Surely that car park is the most grotesque building in the world? Like Mr Matthews, I would gladly sign a petition to reduce it to rubble.

DE MARGRETT,

Worcester.
