SIR - Once again we see how intolerant Islam and radical Muslims really are of democracy and free speech, ideals that underpin Western society.
As interpretation is subjective, anyone who has a different opinion to yours runs the risk of offending, whether intentionally or not, as the case maybe. Satire, which is also a Western tradition, lampoons all faiths and religions and most tolerant people understand that it is not to be taken literally.
As a Christian, I find it quite offensive in the extreme, that Western traditions/beliefs are continually being superseded by foreign/alien traditions/beliefs.
I believe in the adage "when in Rome". If they find Western culture offensive, then it is best for all that they return to Islamic countries where freedom of speech and expression are in the main forbidden and not to try to impose their obdurate values on to us.
