BOOKWORMS in Studley are being urged to speak up for longer library opening hours.
The parish council is calling for residents to join its campaign for extended hours at Studley Library.
Council clerk Dot Mitchell said: "As Studley is one of the largest villages in the county, we would like to see the opening hours of the library brought into line to make it more accessible to the community.
Studley Library is open four days a week, compared to nearby Alcester, which welcomes customers six days a week. The hours of opening at the Studley facility are also much shorter than in neighbouring villages.
Mrs Mitchell said: "Both Alcester and Bidford have received funding to extend their hours and upgrade their service.
"We are organising a petition to present to the library service at Warwickshire County Council and we need the support of residents."
The petition will be available for people to sign in the village hall off High Street.
Alternatively, residents can e-mail their comments to www.studleyparishcouncil.org.uk
