A CHURCH Hill girl is looking forward to seeing her words in print after entering a national poetry competition.
Emma Shepherd, a pupil at St Bede's Middle School, wrote a poem on Redditch for a competition to win £1,000.
The 11-year-old's work did not scoop top prize but was picked to be published in My Small World, an anthology of the entries.
The youngster wrote about Arrow Valley Park and last year's AiR Festival in her poem and her mother Angela Shepherd said they were looking forward to seeing the book.
She added: "Although she didn't win the £1,000, we're delighted her poem has been picked."
