EXTENDED free travel for senior bus travellers is on its way.
This means that from April 1, any Redditch resident aged 60 or over with a council bus pass will be able to travel free anywhere in Worcestershire and into Birmingham, where currently they have to pay half fare.
Redditch Council Leader Phil Mould said: "We are delighted we have been able to come to an agreement with Worcestershire County Council that provides a fair deal for Redditch."
Anyone who does not have a bus pass but thinks they may be eligible as they are 60 or over or have a disability should contact one of the council's One Stop Shops at the town hall, Batchley, Woodrow or Winyates.
