WORKERS with no children should be offered flexible working arrangements or they could become "disgruntled and demotivated", it was warned.
Research for law firm Eversheds showed overwhelming support for child-less employees being given the same right as working parents to request different work patterns.
A survey of 400 adults showed that 94 per cent were in favour of the move, giving staff without children the chance to work from home one day a week or change their working hours.
Owen Warnock, partner at Eversheds, said: "Currently, there is a raft of family friendly benefits being offered to working parents. While this addresses the issue of encouraging parents to return to the workplace, it could give rise to problems among other groups within the workforce.
