JOHN Bickerton netted himself just over £33,200 for his joint fourth-placed finish at the rain-shortened Maybank Malaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
The Worcestershire professional carded impressive rounds of 66, 68 and 66 in the European Tour event, which was curtailed to 54 holes by the weather.
Bickerton's three-round total of -16 was three shots behind the winner, Korea's Charlie Wi.
Going into the final day, Hereford's David Park, who led the tournament after the first day, was in joint second spot but a final-round 72 meant he slipped back to joint eighth.
The Burghill Valley golfer had a £15,417 prize as compensation, however.
