A HALF-TERM rugby camp at Worcester Warriors proved a great success.
More than 80 local youngsters attended the Academy Camp held at Sixways. The youngsters, aged five to 16, enjoyed a three-day training course learning the basic skills of rugby. They were taught by a host of the Warriors' international stars including skipper Pat Sanderson, Thinus Delport and Chris Horsman.
As well as receiving an exclusive Warriors T-shirt and certificate, the group of children were invited to attend the awards ceremony where the rugby stars presented awards for the Most Improved Player, npower Best Attitude and O2 Kick, Pass and Run Challenge award in each age group.
The winner of the O2 Kick, Pass and Run Challenge Award has the chance to take part in the O2 Challenge at Twickenham on the day of the Guinness Premiership final. The next camp will take place at Sixways during the Easter holidays.
