for a treat when the musician Nonny James comes to Worcester for a gig this weekend.

Nonny is a classically trained musician who has studied piano, classical guitar, history of music, harmony and composition and is due to play the Marr's Bar in Pierpoint Street on Sunday, February 19.

The musician's roots lie with the blues and rock music of the early 70s and she was also the vocalist and keyboard player with the legendary Worcestershire band Moonshine during the late 70s and early 80s.

In the late 80s and early 90s she formed the Midlands trio Sarabande with flautist Alan Tipple and guitarist Chris Dumville.

The singer is also a writer member of the Performing Rights Society and has been placed in national song-writing competitions.

Now she is preparing for her Worcester performance this weekend, where she will be joined by saxophonist Patsy Gamble, who has played with artists including Steve Winwood and Mick Jagger.

Doors open for the gig at 8pm and tickets are £3 in
