A SCRAPBOOK made by a junior Droitwich historian has been put on display.

Twelve-year-old Jamie Deas (pictured) gave up his own time to research the history of the Worcestershire Brine Baths Hotel.

His work features photographs showing the decline of the once beautiful building, along with old post cards and an original menu used at the opening of the hotel in November 1891.

Jamie started his project in 2003, just after the building was knocked down.

His work is now on display at the Droitwich Heritage Centre in Victoria Square.

Heritage centre assistant Joy King said: "The project is great and it is good to be able display it here. We were made aware of Jamie's work by the town mayor Richard Morris, who urged us to show it off."

The Worcestershire Brine Baths Hotel was built by John Corbett in St Andrew's Road.
