BLUES comes to the country on Saturday and Sunday, February 25-26, when the Daniel Smith Blues Band visits two village halls.
Smith was recently nominated British Blues Keyboard Player of the Year. With his band including Alan Glen, formerly of the Yardbirds, he will play a set of authentic blues, boogie woogie and jazz grooves.
The band visits Callow End Village Hall at 8pm on the Saturday and Alfrick Village Hall at 7.30pm on the Sunday. Tickets for Callow End are £7.50 from 01905 830701. Tickets for Alfrick are £8 per person or £25 for a family from 01886 884216. Performances are staged through Shindig, Worcestershire's rural and community touring live arts scheme.
