A NEW community safety advisor for Wyre Forest has called for residents to put forward ideas for fire safety initiatives.
Becky Whittall, who has taken up the position for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue, is keen to talk to local people, especially those who have disabilities or might be disadvantaged.
In the role, she will be responsible for promoting fire safety by organising community events, creating partnerships with other organisations and introducing new initiatives for safety awareness.
Mrs Whittall, who is based at the fire station in Kiddermin-ster, said she would be going out and about but was also keen for people, particularly from groups like young people or the elderly, to contact her with any ideas.
Anyone wanting to get in touch with Mrs Whittall should call 07973 316452.
Alternatively, for free home fire safety checks, ring 0800 0321155.
