PARISH COUNCIL: A meeting was held on January 23, and the chairman welcomed Mr Chris Evans as the new co-opted member to the council.
Jonathan Hazelwood was appointed as the tree warden to the parish.
Parking in Malthouse Lane: The beat manager has reported that she has liaised with the fire service, police traffic management department and environmental services at Wychavon District Council. She has also visited the site and spoken to a resident of Malthouse Lane. She is due to submit a report of her findings to Inspector Booker.
Public Paths Warden: Work will soon to be carried out on replacing stiles on footpaths 20 and 28. It has been noted that aluminium gates have appeared on the entrance and exit to Yeald Wood along the Wychavon Way. District councillor Mr Lee offered to look into the matter. A walk is to take place to raise money for multiple sclerosis research on April 22. A large number of cars will be using the Lenches Sports and Recreation Club and the Lenches Club car parking facilities.
Village Hall Committee: It was reported that the village hall would be closed from the end of May 2006 for six months while it is being rebuilt. The last event to be held will be the St George's Day dinner on April 22.
Financial matters: It was agreed that the parish council has allocated £3,700 towards the rebuilding of the village hall.
The next meeting will be held in Church Lench Village Hall on Monday, March 27 at 7pm.
