EVESHAM police have launched a hunt for a cyclist who twice approached a schoolgirl as she walked her family dog.

The man, who was riding a black mountain bike accosted the girl as she walked in a field in Fairfield Road about 5.30pm last Thursday.

Police said he did not touch the girl but approached her twice, asking a number of questions.

He is described as white, aged about 30, of thin build, with short, black, spikey hair.

He was wearing a black T-shirt with a grey pattern on the front and black trousers.

"Ideally, we would like the man to come forward so he can help with our enquiries," said police spokesman Richard Bull.

"Additionally, we would like to hear from anyone who can add anything to what we already know of this incident."
