DOUBLE murder suspect Neil Entwistle was last night extradited to the United States.

The former Droitwich man is to appear at Framingham District Court in Massachusetts later this week after being arrested in London over the deaths of his wife Rachel and nine-month-old daughter Lillian.

The Metropolitan Police said Entwistle was placed on a private plane yesterday after being handed over to the custody of US marshals at Gatwick Airport.

Entwistle's wife and daughter were shot dead on Friday, January 20, a day before he left the US for his parents' house in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

Their bodies were discovered in a bed in the couple's home in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, the following day. Police claim he shot his family with a .22 semi-automatic smuggled out of his father-in-law's home.

The 27-year-old, who used to live at Swan Drive, Droitwich, did not fight the extradition order.

As the Worcester News reported, police investigating the case found that Entwistle, a former employee of QinetiQ in Malvern, searched a website teaching how to kill people shortly before the murders.
