BROMSGROVE Rovers manager Rod Brown is looking to shuffle his pack for tonight's trip to Southern League Premier Division side Banbury United (7.45) in the Errea Cup fifth round.

Brown will react after seeing his side crash to a humiliating 6-3 Division One West home defeat by Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday.

He branded his team's defending as woeful and added it was like a schoolboy match which could easily have finished 8-8.

The only highlight, albeit a small one, for Rovers was the form of striker Neil Davis who scored a hat-trick.

He said: "I did not recognise the side who played on Saturday. I kept them in the dressing room for an hour after the game to talk through what went wrong. We have worked very hard on defending in recent weeks and we were woeful against Sutton Coldfield.

"Our only players to come out of the game with any credit at all were the two strikers. It was a real schoolboy performance."

If Rovers are to progress in the cup tonight, they will need to put in an impressive performance as Banbury, unbeaten in their last three league games, are currently sixth in the Premier Division.

On the way to the fifth round Rovers have disposed of Stourport Swifts (2-1) and Solihull Borough (2-0) as well as Premier Division sides Evesham United (5-0) and King's Lynn (1-0).

Banbury, who entered the competition in the third round, have beaten Halesowen Town (2-1) and Rushall Olympic (1-0) so far.

Anthony Maguire will miss the game with Banbury as he serves the second game of a three-match suspension.

Meanwhile, Rovers Reserves are hosting Lye Town tonight (7.45) in the semi-final of the Worcestershire Senior Urn.

In the Hellenic League Supplementary Cup first round, Pegasus Juniors entertain county rivals Ross Town (7.30pm).

Worcester City play at home to Coleshill Town tonight in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division.
