WORCESTER Wanderers lost for the second time this season against Old Halesonians, going down 35-14.
The match had to be stopped for 25 minutes when an ambulance was needed after Worcester's Dale Garner hurt his neck.
Fortunately, the prop suffered no serious damage although he was treated for a muscle injury at hospital.
Old Hals scored after just 20 seconds when full-back Sid Rose raced through for a try which he converted himself. The game livened up when the Worcester open-side flanker Dave Hill, back after a serious knee injury, was up quick and charged down an Old Hals kick which was seized on by lock Jason Cole, whose quick pass gave Winger Andy Hurn space to work with.
He weaved in and out of the defence to score near the post and scrum-half Joph Young levelled the scores with his kick.
With seconds to go before half-time, the Old Hals backs found space for centres John Harris and Matt Wagstaffe to put winger Dave O'Rourke away in the corner. Rose's conversion on the whistle gave Old Hals a seven-point lead.
The only other Worcester score in the second-half was a converted try by lock James Shilvock.
On Saturday, Worcester entertain league leaders Stourbridge.
