SIR - Artists' impressions of the Diglis and Sidbury development are all well and good but we have painful experience of what private enterprise can do - and it's all around us in Worcester - sad to say.
What we need is some public finance to co-operate with private enterprise in re-building the Cathedral end of our city so it something to be proud of.
And that's why it's time to get a little rough with the useless jobworths who claim to represent us in Westminster and Brussels, but who stand by and let our money be thrown at one barmy foreign project after another while our city rots. Recently, I learnt that the EU gives Palestinians alone £550m a year, most of which ends up in Swiss bank accounts and palaces while most Palestinians live in squalor - and that's just the tip of an iceberg.
JIM EVANS,
Worcester.
