BROMSGROVE School student George Thomas has become the seventh North Midlands player to be included in the England Under 18 training squad for a camp at Castlecroft in Wolverhampton and RAF Cosford from February 16 to 19.
The Worcester Academy hooker recently made his senior debut for Midlands One club Luctonians at Burton.
Thomas was called up by England, who are preparing for the AER European Championships in Italy and the Home Unions Tournament in Gloucestershire, after he impressed for the Midlands in their 22-12 win over the South West at Bridgwater last Sunday.
Thomas, the son of former Leicester and Ebbw Vale hooker Dave, joins fellow North Midlands players George Crook, Joel Diggins, Matt Cox, Miles Benjamin, Tim Streather and Charlie Fellows in the England squad.
